From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord's name is to be praised. --Psalm 113:3
Oh, How I love to put into verse and rhyme
Things that have been filling my mind:
A beautiful red, orange, and purple sky at night,
Fireflies twinkling, like stars in my sight,
My wonderful God, who made all these things,
The sun that shines off a window,
Turning it in color like gold from the mines.
Let God shine off the window of your heart.
Let Him place on your lips the beautiful phrase:
Not my will but Thine.
As I write these things,
With an open window before mine eyes,
I hear a bird fluttering in the trees.
I know that God made all these things,
and that to Him, the birds do sing!
I know too, that He wants me also,
To thank Him for filling my desires
And for giving me more than life requires.
