Jesus promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Throughout the Bible Jesus tells us not to be afraid. He is our refuge and fortress, and He's there to help us when we're in trouble and give us courage.
I wrote the song "Will You Walk With Jesus?" in 2010, and have included the lyrics, as well as an imperfect recording from one of our recent live performances, below.
Will you walk with Jesus? He has promised He'll never forsake.
Walking with Jesus, I my cross shall take.
If you walk with Him, If you talk with Him,
You will reign with Him forever.
Lay up your treasures over in paradise, Christ said,
There will your heart be, come and follow me.
If you walk with Him, take your cross with Him,
You will reign with Him forever.
Be not afraid of them, He will be your shield and high tower.
Resting in Jesus, I my heart do yield.
We will sing a new song, in the palace of our King,
Living with Jesus, to whom praise belongs.
If you walk with Him, take your cross with Him,
You will reign with Him forever.

DeleteThe family performance , the message, the music, and the visual presentation of "Walking With Jesus" are all beautiful, Bethany. The last worship art session I attended we were working on creating vision boards with the theme of walking with Jesus, and I have been enjoying gathering focus words to display as reminders of all the facets of my walk with Him. Your song prompts me to add "praise" and "sing" to my list. Thanks! :) xx
ReplyDeleteOh, that's great you are working on a similar theme! Sounds like a neat project!
DeleteVery lovely! What a wonderful thing to do with your family. And the images included are beautiful. I'm guessing they are yours?
ReplyDeleteYes, thank you. Many of the photos have been posted on my blog before. I picked a few favorites to include in the video.
DeleteSo lovely. Beautiful words, beautiful voices and beautiful images. Made my day my Dear. I will walk with Him forever, without a doubt. xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to have that "blessed assurance" of salvation! :)

DeleteHi Bethany. Since 2010, I’ve been a part of the blogosphere and what an experience it has been. I've found a multitude of blogs but only a few can compare to yours. I’m not really sure I can put it into words exactly, but you have a most wonderful, and exceptional ability to cover a broad spectrum of life. I would nominate you for Blogger of the Year in a flash if I simply knew where to do that sort of thing. :-) I admire your spirituality. I feel like this post is a blessing … for both of us! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for kind words, John--much appreciated. I always enjoy your posts as well; you find the most interesting items to share from your collections--and I enjoy your other photography. And if I could nominate someone for a "Commenter of the Year Award" it would be you. You always take the time to write interesting comments. Thank you.
DeleteYes, I will walk with Him. I want to boost my faith every day.
ReplyDeleteThe song and the lyrics are nice. God bless you.
God bless you too Enrique! :)
